When one is faced with economic hardships, the first thing to go is often attention to health and beauty. If you have been in a money crisis, then you full understand what we are speaking about. Many women give up haircuts and manicures, never mind facials and other so-called luxuries, in an attempt to save money.
Fortunately, skin care can be done cheaply. The catch is that you have to create skin care products yourself. There are so many women that skip out on their beauty rituals simply because they do not have enough money to afford them. In turns, this makes this feel down all the time simply because they do not feel beautiful.
Women, we know that you know what we are talking about. When you do not have a skin exfoliation in months, we know that you feel down; you feel as if you are not beautiful anymore. Instead of sitting around “wishing” and “hoping” for some money to pop up so that you can feel better about yourself, we highly recommend you reading this article as we have something that you will enjoy.
Don’t panic, though. Most skin care products are neither expensive nor difficult to make. Most use products that women normally find in their kitchens, such as olive oil or bananas. And homemade health and beauty products leave out chemicals that pollute the environment.
Let’s take olive oil as an example. A lot has been made out of this oil’s health benefits when used as an aid to cooking. But did you know that olive oil also has skin care benefits? Olive oil is a natural moisturizer.
In addition to applying it directly to areas at risk of drying out (i. E. The bottom of your feet), olive oil can be added to a hot bath for extra moisture.
If you’re feeling adventurous, here’s a simple recipe for an exfoliating treatment made from olive oil: mix one part olive oil with two parts brown sugar, creating a thick paste. Then apply the paste to your skin prior to taking a shower. Make sure to rinse off thoroughly to remove dead skin cells.
It is important to consult your doctor before using any of these products because the doctor will exactly tell you what the product consists of and how good or bad it is for your skin.
Most people will refuse to eat mushy, browning bananas. Instead of throwing them away, save a few cents by putting them to good use as moisturizers for your cracked, dry skin.
Just mash up one of these bananas until it forms a paste. If you’d like, add a teaspoon of olive oil for extra moisturizing benefits. Then rub the paste gently into your skin and set a time for 10 minutes. When the timer rings, rinse it off and you’ve got moisturized skin.
Skin care is easy, and easy to afford, if you use products that you already buy. Given how simple it is, and how important skin care is to your overall health, can you really afford not to use homemade skin care products?
